A diverse variety of inspirations -ranging from airforce uniforms and Vivienne Westwood's Seditionaries to classic evening tailoring- were refined into a unique collection that combined subcultural aggression with refined sartorialism. The shirt is made from a deep black 100% cotton flannel that has been brushed for a soft, fleecy texture. The cut is classic and conservative, with dropped shoulders and roomy proportions. Like most Helmut Lang shirts, the design is workwear-inspired: a rectangular patch pocket is found on the chest and the sleeves have adjustable barrel cuffs. The point collar is sharp and chunky, while the back features sharp side pleats. The long elastic straps connect the cuffs to the back of the shoulders and can be adjusted to pull up the sleeves.
Upon a closer inspection, we can see that the shirt is finished to an extremely high standard. The sleeves have Lang's classic two-piece construction, which enhances the shirt's structured look.
